Zoë Green was born in Scotland, read English at Oxford and completed an MA in Creative Writing at UEA, gaining a distinction in Biography. In 2004 she won the Harpers and Queen Orange Prize for Short Fiction, following a previous shortlisting for Vogue New Young Writer of the Year. Her stories and poems have been published in The London Magazine, www.untitledbooks.com, Tales of the Decongested, Cutting Teeth, Harpers and Queen and Litro. She has also written for The Observer, The Financial Times, The Scotsman, Scotland on Sunday, The Independent, Literary Review and The Institute for War and Peace Reporting. For three years she has been Writer in Residence at Charterhouse School in Surrey whilst in 2008 she taught Creative Writing on Edinburgh University’s SUISS course.
